I am officially putting it out there.  Twopercentgoal.com is now on YouTube.  I encourage you to check it out and feel free to add comments, like and/or subscribe.

Doing a YouTube video comes with a mixed bag of emotions.  Excitement, fear, confidence, and courage are all part of the package.  The video was a labor of love, and, I admit, it was fun to put together.  Technical analysis and swing trading are hobbies of mine that have turned into an obsession.  I am also hoping to use this to supplement my income as I head into semi-retirement.  There comes a certain rush when you have an idea, put it together, and see the end product.

But with that sense of accomplishment comes a sense of fear.  I am putting it out there.  I am putting my face to the program.  I am making myself vulnerable and opening myself up to ridicule and embarrassment.  What if I am wrong?  What if this is a money loser?  You can play the fear game and the what-if scenarios until the cows come home.  Whenever I have doubts or start second guessing myself about this, I simply review the program, and I regain my sense of confidence.

I use various technical analysis tools.  They include the Relative Strength Index (RSI), the 50-day/200-day moving averages, the stochastic oscillator, the moving average convergence-divergence (MACD) and the on-balance volume.  I did not invent any of these tools.  They are tried and true charts that have been around for years, some for over 50 years.  They have a track record of success, and they are well respected tools with those that use technical analysis.

Secondly, I have brought them all together and have tested them for S&P500 companies for the last year.  The numbers speak for themselves.  Between September 1, 2024, and August 31, 2025, there were 360 buying or shorting opportunities that resulted in an average gain of 1.69% per pick.  When you protect yourself through diversification you would have realized a gain of 30.4% and over 90% if you traded on margin.

Am I guaranteeing these results going forward?  Absolutely not.  The only certainties in life are death and taxes and to make any future claims of performance like these would make me either a liar or a fool.  But numbers do not lie.  I am a math guy, and I look at risk versus reward.  History shows that this methodology is a percentage play that can generate handsome returns. Like the saying goes, money talks and the “other stuff” walks. Time to do some talking.  Damn the torpedoes and full speed ahead.
