Are you happy with your life? If you are truly content and satisfied, God bless you. But if you want more out of life, then the only thing that is stopping you, is you. Everything you do in life is a choice. Where you are in life right now is the sum of all the choices you have made to this point. If you want things to be different, then you must make different choices. You must think differently, and you must act differently. If you do what you have always done, you will get what you have always gotten.
In last week’s blog, I was talking about the new year bringing new opportunities. Maybe you have made some New Year’s resolutions. If so, that is great. But it is only great if you are acting on it to make it a reality. If not, then it is just a wish that will go unfulfilled. When you are a senior citizen looking back on your life do you want it to be a series of unfulfilled wishes? Our lives are usually made-up pf a daily routine and daily habits. This is our comfort zone. We must get out of that comfort zone and that is the challenge. It takes conscious effort, and it might even be scary. But that is the price you must pay to lead a fulfilling life.
Try something that most people do not do. Get out a piece of paper and write down what you want to accomplish. To stay ahead of the crowd, you must stay away from the crowd. Herd mentality does not help you. It hinders you from personal development. Most people do not do this, and most people do not accomplish their personal goals. Next, formulate a plan as to how you are going to accomplish this. After that, write down action steps that you need to do to make this a reality. Each day work on those action steps. Finally, persistence is the key. You cannot give up. Winners never quit and quitters never win. If your plan is not working, modify it and keep trying until it starts to work. Read your plan daily. Visualize it and see yourself succeeding. How badly do you want it? Choose to make it happen.
I wish to be truly independent, and money can make that happen. I have a goal to double my money each year on the stock market virtually risk free. How am I going to do that? By earning two percent per week. I have a website showing people my plan and I offer a daily email subscription with recommended stock picks for like minded swing traders. If swing trading aligns with your goals and risk tolerances, I encourage you to sign up for the daily email. It is free for the first 30 days and then $99/month thereafter. You can cancel at any time.
I want to live a life well lived. I do not want any regrets. I do not want to be in my 80s saying “What if I had done this or that” and then realize it is too late to do something about it. I choose to do something about it. I choose to go after my dreams and the crowd be damned. If you choose to do the same, enjoy the journey. I hope twopercentgoal.com can be a part of that for you too. Here’s to living a life well lived. Cheers,
Al
